Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of CardboardCabana, a service operated by Cardboard Cabana LLC, based in Iowa, United States ("CardboardCabana," "we," "us," or "our"). Our initial launch is intended for users in the United States. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and authority

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering this agreement. If you manage a Discord server, Organizer, or publishing destination, you represent that you have authority to do so.

2. Accounts and connected services

You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for maintaining control of connected Discord, Google, and social-provider accounts. You must provide accurate information and promptly revoke access you no longer authorize.

3. CardboardCabana services

CardboardCabana provides event discovery, Organizer tools, and delivery of event or Organizer content to configured destinations. Availability and results depend on third-party platforms and event-data providers. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary to operate, secure, or improve the service.

An Organizer's or Game's appearance on the service does not by itself mean that its owner, publisher, or representative participates in, sponsors, endorses, or approves CardboardCabana. Additional information appears in our Disclaimer.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant CardboardCabana a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, format, and distribute that content only as needed to provide and promote the service. You represent that you have the rights needed to submit and distribute it.

5. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the service, impersonate another person or Organizer, send spam, interfere with security or availability, access data without authorization, distribute unlawful or infringing content, or use CardboardCabana in a way that violates a connected provider's terms or policies.

6. Third-party services

Connected account, delivery, and event-data providers are independent services governed by their own terms. CardboardCabana is not responsible for their availability, content, account actions, or policy changes.

Game names, trademarks, service marks, logos, and related identifiers belong to their respective owners. Their use to identify Games and Events does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, approval, or affiliation unless CardboardCabana expressly identifies a separate authorized relationship.

An Organizer-managed profile indicates that a representative has been approved to manage that profile. This does not represent endorsement by a Game publisher, tournament operator, or other third party.

7. Suspension and termination

You may stop using CardboardCabana at any time. We may restrict or terminate access for violations of these Terms, security risks, legal requirements, or conduct that threatens users, third parties, or the service. Provisions that logically survive termination remain effective.

8. Service limitations and your rights

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law. Event information may be incomplete or change without notice; verify important schedules, locations, eligibility requirements, fees, and policies with the Event Organizer. Third-party links, integrations, and source references do not by themselves create an endorsement, partnership, or agency relationship. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty, liability, or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Iowa and applicable United States federal law, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Mandatory protections available under the laws of your place of residence remain in effect. These Terms do not require binding arbitration or waive your right to bring a claim in a court with jurisdiction.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and will identify the current version and effective date. Material changes may require renewed acceptance before you continue using your account.
